Xin's hometown is in Jing Zhou, Hubei Province, China. He got his bachelor's degree in Polymer Material and Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in June 2021. In the same year, he overcame the challenges associated with the Covid pandemic and came to UA to pursue a master's study in Polymer Science under Dr. Junpeng Wang's supervision. In 2023, Xin obtained his master's degree and decided to continue a PhD study in the Wang lab. Xin's research aims to develop new chemistry for the recycling of polymers and controlled molecular release. In his spare time, Xin likes playing table tennis and video games, collecting warship models, and climbing mountains.
